On Thursday night, Sara, Jono and I ventured to the Thames foreshore underneath the Millenium Bridge to watch the ‘SUPER SPECTACULAR LASER AND LIGHT SHOW’ to inaugurate the Shard. West Europe’s newest (and tallest) skyscraper, topping out at 1016ft.
We were all set for an evening of epic lasers and stuff, but what we got was about 6 lasers and a couple of spotlights. Wasn’t really worth all the effort, but it was a nice night none the less.

I came back to Watford last night for the Easter holidays. I’d forgotten about the councils money saving scheme which means that virtually all street lights are turned off at about midnight, leaving only illuminated road signs and about one street light every 500 metres piercing the darkness.
It’s like being in the olden days and all that.
With China to the north and west, South Korea to the inevitable south, and Japan to the east…
And North Korea is in the dark.
